About Us
As a part of the wider Precious Plastic universe, Precious Plastic FNQ has taken on the task of encouraging change and empowering our community through the encouragement of sustainable practices in Far North Queensland.
Our goal is to facilitate the entire recycling journey of plastic waste from collection through to manufacture and sale.
As part of a vocational initiative ran by GSL Services we also utilise the entire Precious Plastic process as an opportunity for young adults with learning disabilities to learn a variety of vocational skills and gain valuable workplace experience.
We want to change the way that we as a community view plastic waste. Far North Queensland is one of the world’s most beautiful areas with some of the most diverse ecosystems, and unmanaged plastic waste is a threat to both our tropical rainforests and our Great Barrier Reef.
Products that we manufacture from recycled plastic are available for sale online as well as at local FNQ markets that are held regularly across the region.
